An Introduction to Online Craps

Craps is a fairly easy game to learn. It is also quite easy to play it and the rules of online craps are just as simple so players will not really have difficulty learning and playing the game. It is also a lot of fun. This weighs heavily as a consideration to gamblers who play the game online. This is certainly a great pastime and a great source of relaxation after a hard day's work. It doesn't even matter if you are a man or a woman. This game offers fun and excitement that both sexes will truly enjoy.

Like any newbie to online craps, you are probably wondering what the difference is between online craps and land-based casino craps. There are various differences. For instance, the online version offers better odds and smaller house edge. You have more chances of winning the game. Also, you will find no bank with the online game. A shooter will initially place wagers and another player will come in and attempts to fade him. The shooter will bet that he will win, but the other players, referred to as the faders, will bet against him.

The shooter will then pick and roll the dice. The rules of the traditional craps game apply at this juncture of the game, so the mechanics are fairly much the same as well. With online craps, the players will bet against each other while in a traditional casino craps, the players place their bets and they would have the casino placing the opposite wagers. It is the casino that would attempt to fade or cover the players' bets. Online casinos also offer various types of bets or wagers. Your bets will not be limited to the basic pass and don't pass wagers. There are other kinds of bets that you can place as well.

Online craps, like traditional craps, have four people managing the game. You have the boxman whose duty is to watch the dice rolls and to guard the game. You also have the dealers, one on each side of the player. One dealer pays off the player when he wins while the other dealer rakes in the chips every time a player lose his game.

Each of these dealers has the duty to handle the players sitting on his side of the table. As you know, the craps table is divided by two things - the center box where proposition bets are placed and the stickman who positions himself on the player's side of the craps table. You will usually find three to four players positioned at each end of the table and another four or six players positioned on both sides of the table's stickman.

The stickman actually plays a huge part in a game of craps. It is the stickman that basically controls the dice and the speed of the game. Once the wagers are placed, the stickman would then push a set of dice to the player-shooter. The player will then select his dice and then roll them across the online craps table.

If you roll a 7 or an 11, you win the game. You basically will win the same amount of chips you have placed as your bet. However, if you roll a 2, 3 or 12, you will have the online casino craps. In which case, you lose the game and your wager. You can continue to place wagers and throw dice until you finally relinquish your dice.

Online craps is similar to your traditional casino craps. If you love the game, you will also love playing it online especially because the odds are better online and the house edge is significantly smaller. You also get more money for more fun!
